EJ Montana
EJ is a mixed media artist whose projects reflect her sculptural background, using whichever
materials are locally and sustainably accessible. She prioritizes the use of biomaterials that can
eventually decompose back into the earth.
Future Goals
I hope to collaborate with artists who share similar values and goals. Together, we can
raise awareness about the challenges in our communities and ecosystems while fostering
positive change through our work.
Artist's Statement
As an Art & Ecology student, my practice centers on sustainability and the intertwined connection between art and the environment. A key aspect of my practice is sourcing materials from what I already own or scavenging responsibly, reducing waste, and giving new life to forgotten items. Through my work, I aim to create, build, and present
artworks that not only resonate with my audience but also enrich the spaces they inhabit.
